Mānuka Honey UMF® 24+

£295

Raw, unpasteurized Manuka Honey from New Zealand

Leptospermum scoparium commonly known as Mānuka is a prolific scrub-type tree found throughout New Zealand. It is a hardy tree that can grow in any of New Zealand's microclimates and is often one of the first species to grow after a fire or when the land has been cleared.

Every batch of unpasteurized, raw honey is tested, certified, and creamed to perfection for guaranteed UMF levels and exceptional quality.

UMF® stands for Unique Mānuka Factor and is the quality marker of the Unique Mānuka Factor Honey Association® (UMFHA). There are three signature compounds found in Mānuka honey, and the UMF® testing process is the only one that measures all three. Only products displaying the UMF® rating can be guaranteed genuine Mānuka honey.

Numbers: These represent the unique signature compounds characteristic of this honey which ensure purity and quality. These include the key markers of Leptosperin, DHA and Methylglyoxal.

Mānuka South® premium honey is carefully matured in temperature-controlled facilities after harvest, ensuring the highest MGO/UMF results are achieved before individually packing the honey into sustainable jars. This ensures that the natural enzymes found in raw honey are perfectly preserved, just the way nature intended and respecting the natural qualities of the raw honey.

PACKAGING

For the shipping fresh and frozen goods we use high quality mixed recyclable insulated packaging to keep your products perfect through the courier network.

To keep frozen goods at the correct temperature we use a safe alternative to dry ice.  These gel packs freeze to a temperature of -45° and stay frozen for an extended period of time. Completely food safe and fully recyclable/reusable.

FROZEN PRODUCTS

The vast majority of shipments arrive frozen but we cannot guarantee this.  In the event that your order has defrosted it should still be at a very low temperature when you receive it and therefore fine to put in your freezer.  Refreezing is only unsafe if the product has reached 8°c. It is worth mentioning that supermarkets routinely sell defrosted food as "fresh", with the advice that it may be frozen when you get home.

All frozen products arrive in extremely high quality, fully insulated packaging.

FRESH TRUFFLES

All fresh truffles are sent in a foil resealable pack with an absorbent paper.  This is suitable for storing in your fridge.  If storing truffles for more than a few days we recommend wrapping them in paper towel or using a Tuberpac.  Fresh truffles are always best consumed as soon as possible.
