Raw Shelled King Crab

King crabs can weigh 4 to 5 kilograms on average and measure up to 1.80m in wingspan. 

The red king crab has a regal look to it. Its pointy shell looks like a pointy crown draped in a lavish crimson gown. One of its claws are bigger than the other, which could be mistaken for a sceptre, but is actually used to crush the red king’s prey.  

King crabs are very large, with succulent and tasty flesh, that can be enjoyed in both hot and cold dishes. It is low in saturated fat and a good source of vitamin B12, phosphorus, zinc, copper, and selenium. It has fleshy claws and legs packed with the sweet, rich meat.

Usage: Definitely the best value way to enjoy king crab, this versatile product offers all the deliciousness without the messy unshelling. The claw and leg meat can be steamed, lightly poached or cooked gently in butter. It can also be cooked 'sous vide' or added to a Thermidor mix, placed into ramekins, cooked in the oven and enjoyed with crusty bread for a perfect dinner party starter.

Each pack is made up of at least 60% prime leg and claw meat and also contains picked meat from the shoulder.
