NEUVIC ROYAL SALMON ROE 50g
Bright orange in colour, salmon roe reveals a profound freshness and the intense pleasure of a briny wave. The large, slightly sticky eggs roll gently on the palate and then pop sweetly on the tongue, releasing strong and briny flavours.
Often, it is spread in a layer over buttered bread and served with sour cream, lemon, and onion for garnish.
It can also be used in small quantities as a condiment to top smoked fish canapés, seafood crepes, or sushi and as a flavour enhancer for pasta dishes, omelettes, or seafood salads. In Native Alaskan cuisine, the salmon roe was traditionally fermented, dried or frozen; however, freezing is the only recommended preservation method in modern times.
