Oro Del Desierto Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil — 1L Tin
Choose options

The same award-winning coupage as the 500ml bottle, in a larger format tin that protects the oil from light and is ideal for regular use. Oro Del Desierto is produced on a single estate — Finca el Vicario — in the Tabernas Desert in Almería, one of Europe's few true deserts and one of the most unlikely places to find world-class olive oil. Over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year, arid soils, and careful organic farming create olives with concentrated flavour and exceptional quality. This coupage is blended by a master taster from the estate's first oils of the season, produced between late October and early November from early-harvest Arbequina, Picual, and Hojiblanca olives — 60–75% still green at picking. The oil is cold-extracted in two phases and filtered, resulting in a leafy green colour with hints of gold.
The flavour is medium intensity and beautifully balanced. On the nose: freshly cut grass, tomato, green olive, with hints of citrus and dried fruit. On the palate: smooth entry with a light, almost imperceptible bitterness and a gentle peppery finish that lingers with a persistent olive flavour and faint spice notes. This is not an aggressive oil — it sits between the assertiveness of a pure Picual and the delicacy of an Arbequina, making it one of the most versatile premium oils you can keep in the kitchen. The tin format keeps the oil in the dark, preserving freshness and polyphenol content for longer than glass. Widely regarded as one of the finest organic olive oils in the world, with multiple international awards to its name.
