Preparation: Soak in warm water for 20-30 minutes until the mushrooms are fully rehydrated and tender. Strain the soaking liquid through kitchen paper or a fine sieve to remove any sediment—this creates an intensely flavoured mushroom stock perfect for soups, gravies, and sauces.

Rinse the rehydrated mushrooms under cold running water to remove any remaining debris, then pat dry with kitchen paper before using.
