CONFIT DUCK LEGS IGP
Valette Confit Duck Legs IGP
Origin: South West France
These exceptional confit duck legs showcase the traditional expertise of Valette, one of France's most respected producers of preserved duck. Slow-cooked in their own fat using time-honoured methods, each leg is carefully seasoned with prized Guérande sea salt before the gentle confit process that transforms the meat into silky, tender perfection with deep, concentrated flavours.
The IGP certification guarantees authenticity and superior quality, ensuring these duck legs meet the strict standards that have made south west French confit legendary. The slow preservation process creates meat that falls effortlessly from the bone whilst retaining incredible richness and complexity of flavour.
Gently warm in a low oven until heated through and the skin crisps beautifully. Alternatively heat in a pan to colour the skin for around 7 minutes. Serve with roasted ratte potatoes cooked in the duck fat, or pair with cassoulet beans and Lautrec garlic for an authentic French experience. Perfect for entertaining or elevating a weeknight dinner.
Valette has been perfecting the art of duck confit in south-west France for generations, using traditional methods and the finest local ingredients to create products that grace the tables of France's most celebrated restaurants.
