Amalfi lemons stand out due to its unique size, shape, and flavour. Known as "Sfusato Amalfitano" because of its elongated, spindle-like form (with "sfusato" meaning tapered), this lemon variety is both larger and more fragrant compared to common lemons. Its thick, aromatic peel contains high levels of essential oils, making it a prized ingredient in Italian cuisine and the production of limoncello, the famous Italian lemon liqueur.
The flesh of the Amalfi lemon is particularly juicy and less acidic than that of other lemons, offering a subtle sweetness that makes it suitable for both savoury and sweet dishes. This distinct flavour profile is directly influenced by the terroir of the Amalfi Coast, which refers to the unique geographic and climatic conditions of the region.
The long, hot summers and mild winters mean the Amalfi lemon has ample opportunity to be sweetened by the Italian sun. It also grows in the same volcanic-enriched soil as the tomatoes of this region, which are also famed for their unique sweetness.
Inside, the flesh is acidic, semi-sweet, and very juicy. You can eat a good Amalfi lemon like you would eat an apple or orange if you so wish. Along the Amalfi coast, it is commonly enjoyed cut into pieces, sprinkled with salt, a drizzle of olive oil, and a scattering of mint.
Please note that we cut the leaves and stalks off the lemons as they are sharp and can damage the skin and flesh of the lemons in transit.

Our Delivery Service
We use reliable third-party express courier services and high-quality insulated packaging. While our couriers are generally excellent, occasional delays can happen. We pack everything to stay fresh, even if transit takes a little longer.
Time-Sensitive & Event Orders
Can we guarantee delivery on a specific day? Unfortunately not - we rely on third-party couriers and can't control their schedules. All items leave us in perfect condition with good use-by dates, but final timing depends on the courier.
If your order is for a specific event, let us know in the notes section at checkout. We can often dispatch a day earlier to give you the best chance of timely arrival.

Once dispatched, your package is with the courier and we're unable to redirect it or change delivery details.
Saturday Delivery
Saturday delivery is available, though please note our couriers don't operate phone support at weekends and our office is closed. For event-critical orders, a weekday delivery gives us more flexibility to help if any issues arise.
