Onions come in various colours, sizes, and origins, with the Cevennes onions from France being a standout favourite at Rungis. Renowned for their exceptional sweetness, these onions are truly unique. The Cévennes region, located in southern France, is not only a stunning natural reserve but also the birthplace of the beloved Cevennes onion.
Grown at high altitudes among the mountains, these sweet onions thrive on terraces surrounded by stone walls. Due to the challenging terrain, all cultivation is done by hand, eliminating mechanisation. The optimal climate and rich soil in this area contribute to the creation of these delectable sweet onions, often regarded as the crème de la crème. Exclusively grown in this region, Cevennes onions hold a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO).
Unlike typical onions, Cevennes onions are significantly sweeter and lack the irritating compounds that usually cause tearing during preparation. With Cevennes onions, say goodbye to crying while cutting! In addition to their exquisite sweetness, these onions have a crisp, apple-like texture, and a firm structure and are delightfully juicy. Their subtle aroma makes them perfect for raw dishes, while they also elevate hot preparations with their distinctive flavour.

Our Delivery Service
We use reliable third-party express courier services and high-quality insulated packaging. While our couriers are generally excellent, occasional delays can happen. We pack everything to stay fresh, even if transit takes a little longer.
Time-Sensitive & Event Orders
Can we guarantee delivery on a specific day? Unfortunately not - we rely on third-party couriers and can't control their schedules. All items leave us in perfect condition with good use-by dates, but final timing depends on the courier.
If your order is for a specific event, let us know in the notes section at checkout. We can often dispatch a day earlier to give you the best chance of timely arrival.

Once dispatched, your package is with the courier and we're unable to redirect it or change delivery details.
Saturday Delivery
Saturday delivery is available, though please note our couriers don't operate phone support at weekends and our office is closed. For event-critical orders, a weekday delivery gives us more flexibility to help if any issues arise.
