Fresh girolle mushrooms foraged from woodlands during their peak season. These golden chanterelles are hand-picked by experienced foragers who select only the finest with their characteristic trumpet shape and apricot aroma.
Girolles have a distinctive nutty, slightly peppery flavour with a firm, meaty texture that holds well during cooking. Their natural apricot scent and golden colour make them highly prized in French cuisine. Unlike many wild mushrooms, girolles are unlikely to harbour insects due to their dense structure.
Preparation: Brush clean gently with a soft brush - avoid washing as they absorb water. Sauté quickly in butter with garlic and herbs, or add to risottos, omelettes and cream sauces. Excellent with roasted meats, particularly game, or simply on toast with butter and fresh herbs. Their robust flavour pairs well with tarragon, thyme and parsley.

All items leave our facility in perfect condition with a good use-by date. Please consider this when selecting your delivery date. Once dispatched, the package is under the responsibility of our couriers, making it difficult to change the delivery address or expedite delays.
We do offer Saturday delivery, but please note that our couriers do not operate phone support at weekends, and our customer service is closed. For time-sensitive deliveries, we recommend choosing a weekday to allow us to address any issues promptly.
