TOMME DE SAVOIE 250g
Tomme de Savoie - Traditional Alpine Cheese
Origin: Savoie, French Alps
Tomme de Savoie is a semi-soft cow's milk cheese with a distinctive grey-brown rind and a pale yellow interior. Made in the mountainous Savoie region for centuries, this artisanal cheese is crafted using traditional methods from the milk of cows grazing on Alpine pastures.
With its earthy, subtle nutty flavour and supple texture, Tomme de Savoie offers a perfect balance of complexity and approachability. The cheese has gentle grassy notes, a slight tanginess, and a rustic character that reflects its Alpine heritage. Its moderate fat content makes it lighter than many French cheeses while still delivering remarkable depth of flavour.
Serve at room temperature on a cheeseboard alongside fresh fruit, crusty bread and charcuterie. It also melts beautifully in gratins, fondue and raclette dishes, or simply enjoy with a drizzle of local honey for a delightful contrast of flavours.
Producer: Our Tomme de Savoie is sourced from small-scale producers in the Savoie mountains who maintain time-honoured cheese-making traditions, using milk from herds that graze on herb-rich Alpine meadows during summer months.
