Exquisite aged goat cheese log from the Loire-Atlantique region of France, named after the picturesque Île d'Yeu off the Atlantic coast. This artisanal cheese is carefully matured for four weeks to develop its distinctive character, featuring a soft, bloomy grey rind that naturally develops during ageing and elegantly encases a bright white, creamy interior.

The cheese offers a perfect balance of subtle goat's milk tanginess and rich, buttery notes, with a velvety texture that melts in the mouth. Complex flavours evolve beautifully from rind to centre, while the natural ageing process creates nuanced mineral undertones that reflect the unique terroir of the Loire-Atlantique region. This remarkable cheese exemplifies the finest French cheesemaking traditions.

Remove from refrigeration 30 minutes before serving to reach room temperature where it becomes luxuriously creamy. Slice into rounds and serve on a cheeseboard with fresh crusty bread, honey, and seasonal fruits. Alternatively, crumble over warm beetroot salads, layer into tarts, or incorporate into warm pasta dishes where it melts gently to create an elegant sauce.

Producer: Crafted by Beillevaire, the renowned French cheese maker based in Machecoul, Loire-Atlantique. This family-run fromagerie is celebrated throughout France for their exceptional artisanal dairy products, using traditional methods and sourcing milk exclusively from free-ranging goats that graze on diverse pastures in the region.

Origin: Loire-Atlantique, France

Storage: Keep refrigerated below 5°C. This is a volatile cheese that deteriorates quickly, so consume within 2-3 days of opening. Remove from fridge 30 minutes before serving to allow it to reach its optimal creamy texture.
