PAIN DE FIGUES
Pain de Figues
Origin: Spain
This traditional Spanish fig and almond bread, also known as 'Pan de Higo', is a pure expression of Mediterranean simplicity. Made with just two ingredients - 90% dried figs and 10% almonds - this dense, naturally sweet bread requires no added sugar or preservatives. The figs are pressed together with whole almonds to create a firm yet moist texture that's intensely fruity and satisfying.
A versatile accompaniment that bridges sweet and savoury, this artisanal fig bread has been a Spanish tradition for centuries, originally created as a way to preserve the fig harvest.
Slice thinly and serve with hard cheeses like Manchego, Comté or aged ewe's milk varieties. Dice into cubes to accompany foie gras or toss through mixed salads. Equally delicious on a dessert board with coffee, or paired with soft goat's cheese and honey.
Producer: Handmade by Spanish artisans using traditional pressing methods and high-quality Mediterranean figs and almonds.
Net: 250g
Allergens: Contains nuts (almonds)
