Tasting: This pale rosé displays crystalline brilliance with translucent reflections. The nose reveals exceptional intensity and complexity, featuring aromatic fineness of white stone fruits including peach, apricot, and melon, accentuated by distinctive maritime iodine notes that reflect the vineyard's coastal proximity. The palate showcases remarkable depth with structured minerality, delivering layers of citrus, exotic fruits, and subtle floral notes. Great texture and weight balance bright acidity, culminating in an exceptionally long finish with saline minerality and elegant complexity.
Pairing: Scallop risotto, grilled Carabineros prawns, and baked Dover Sole with fennel. Perfect alongside king crab, sashimi, or oysters. Also pairs beautifully with summer salads, combining lobster, avocado, and citrus.
Producer: Château Minuty stands as one of Provence's most prestigious estates, situated on the legendary Saint-Tropez peninsula overlooking the Mediterranean. Founded by Gabriel Farnet and acquired by the Matton family in 1936, this 170-hectare property was among the first 23 estates to receive the coveted "Cru Classé des Côtes-de-Provence" designation in 1955. Now in its fourth generation under the Matton brothers and Anne-Victoire Matton, the estate was acquired by LVMH in 2023, cementing its luxury status. The 281 cuvée represents their pinnacle achievement, crafted from a clonal selection of 25-year-old Grenache vines and named after Pantone 281 - the royal blue that cascades down the bottle, symbolising the azure hues visible from their tasting room where Provence's sky meets the Mediterranean Sea.
