Producer: Tignanello represents one of Italy's most revolutionary wines, created by Marchesi Antinori in 1971 as the first Sangiovese to be aged in French barriques and blended with international varietals. This groundbreaking Super Tuscan emerged from the Santa Cristina estate in the heart of Chianti Classico, where the Antinori family has been producing wine for over 600 years. Piero Antinori's vision to break free from traditional Chianti regulations created a wine that combines the elegance of Sangiovese with the structure of Bordeaux varietals.

The vineyard's southwest-facing slopes and calcareous clay soils provide ideal conditions for this iconic blend, which has inspired countless Italian winemakers and established the Super Tuscan category as one of the world's most prestigious wine styles.

Saturday Delivery

Saturday delivery is available, though please note our couriers don't operate phone support at weekends and our office is closed. For event-critical orders, a weekday delivery gives us more flexibility to help if any issues arise.
