Producer: Château de Beaucastel, one of the most renowned estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, has been in the hands of the Perrin family since 1909. The estate is known for its commitment to biodynamic viticulture, a practice they adopted in the 1950s, long before it became fashionable. Beaucastel is unique in using all 13 permitted grape varieties in their blend, with a higher proportion of Mourvèdre than is typical for the region. The 2009 vintage, considered exceptional in the Southern Rhône, showcases the estate's ability to produce wines of remarkable depth, complexity, and longevity.
