Himalayan Pink Salt
From the mines of Khewra, in the heart of the Himalayas, this rock salt is dyed by its iron content. Very pure, dry and not iodized, it is the ideal salt for your mill. It brightens your tables and season all your dishes. The crystal of salt crystals nature, this jewel of the Himalayas!
The Himalayan range was born from the collision of the Indo-Australian and Eurasian plates which made disappear with Thetys ocean separating them. The slow evaporation of the waters of this ocean left behind these pink salt crystals, rich in minerals and trace elements.
Alexander the Great was the first around 350 BC to bring back this precious Kashmiri salt to Europe. In antiquity, it was reserved for deities and emperors.
Until the end of the twentieth century, caravaneers, with women and children, carried salt on their backs to barter for grain or other staple foods. Thus in the Himalayas man and yak had become inseparable. Without fur, milk, meat, leather, yak dung, the man could not survive.
Production of Diamond Salt
Delicately extracted by hand from the Khewra mines in the heart of the Himalayas, these crystals of fossil sea salt, which is actually called rock or earth salt, are devoid of any pollution, without additives and unrefined. They are therefore 100% assimilable by the body. These mines are far from exhausted, they contain 600 million tons of salt! It would be the purest salt in the world!
Usage: Its flavour is a little less salty than the fleur de sel, its structure is slightly drier, which allows use in the mill. Its neutral taste accommodates with everything. Its colour can vary from pink to red depending on its iron content.

For the shipping fresh and frozen goods we use high quality mixed recyclable insulated packaging to keep your products perfect through the courier network.
To keep frozen goods at the correct temperature we use a safe alternative to dry ice. These gel packs freeze to a temperature of -45° and stay frozen for an extended period of time. Completely food safe and fully recyclable/reusable.
The vast majority of shipments arrive frozen but we cannot guarantee this. In the event that your order has defrosted it should still be at a very low temperature when you receive it and therefore fine to put in your freezer. Refreezing is only unsafe if the product has reached 8°c. It is worth mentioning that supermarkets routinely sell defrosted food as "fresh", with the advice that it may be frozen when you get home.
All frozen products arrive in extremely high quality, fully insulated packaging.
