Producer: Dom Ruinart is the prestige cuvée of the oldest established Champagne house, and the rosé is its rarest expression — Chardonnay-led, drawn almost entirely from Grand Cru fruit, with the structure and longevity that mark the house style. This release is 80% Grand Cru Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs (Avize, Chouilly, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger) and the Montagne de Reims (Sillery and Verzenay), with 20% red-vinified Aÿ Grand Cru Pinot Noir lending the wine its colour and depth.

Hand-harvested and hand-riddled, fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel through full malolactic, then aged at least ten years on lees before disgorgement at a low 5 g/L dosage. The long maturation is what gives Dom Ruinart Rosé its character: a pink hue with copper glints, a nose of roasted coffee and cocoa bean lifted by candied apple and ripe citrus, and a palate of plum and hibiscus carried on real freshness through the finish.

2007 vintage: A rare August start to the Champagne harvest. A sunny, very hot spring pushed the vines well ahead; a cooler summer never erased that advance, and the berries reached maturity quickly. Picking ran from late August through the first three weeks of September, capturing ripe fruit with retained freshness.
