Producer: Domaine Serge Laloue is based at Thauvenay, the ancestral home of the Laloue family, working twenty hectares of AOC Sancerre alongside five hectares of IGP Côtes de la Charité. The estate produces around 200,000 bottles a year, and although organic certification was secured in 2023 and then relinquished the following season under exceptionally difficult weather, the family's commitment to sustainable viticulture and a light hand in the vineyard remains the foundation of the work.
Sancerre's three classic terroirs — sandy-clay at the foot of the slopes, the stony calcareous caillottes mid-slope, and the flint soils at the top — each contribute something distinct: aromatic finesse, fruit and softness, mineral cut. This entry cuvée draws on the breadth of the appellation to deliver Laloue's house style at its most direct: bright citrus and stone fruit lifted by classic blackcurrant leaf and a clean, flinty finish. A precise, well-made Sancerre, true to its place.
