Moutarde de Meaux - Pommery Mustard
Choose options

Pommery mustard has been made in Meaux, a cathedral town 60km east of Paris, since 1760 — when a dignitary of the Meaux cathedral chapter passed the canons' secret mustard recipe to a local stonecutter named J. B. Pommery. That recipe, unchanged, is still in use today. The history of mustard in Meaux stretches back further still: in 771 AD, Charlemagne decreed that canons and monks in cathedral towns should cultivate mustard, establishing Meaux as one of France's oldest mustard-producing centres.
Moutarde de Meaux Pommery is a whole grain mustard — coarsely ground, with a flavour profile that balances heat, salt, acidity, and a subtle fruitiness in a way that few grain mustards achieve. It is packed in the brand's signature sealed stoneware jar, which preserves the mustard's characteristic pungency and keeps it fresher for longer than glass or plastic alternatives.
