The Poulet Jaune de Vendée is raised to the Black Prestige standard: a slow-growth programme with a 100% vegetarian diet built primarily around locally grown corn, supplemented with vitamins and minerals. The Vendée is one of France's established poultry regions, with a tradition of corn-fed production that goes back generations. The birds are produced by a cooperative in the Vendée, prepared in-house by FINE & WILD on the day they arrive from France, trussed using traditional techniques, and blast frozen to −30°C. They arrive oven-ready with no giblets.
