Our Red Tuna Saku blocks feature premium cuts of Pacific Yellowfin tuna, flash-frozen at sea to preserve exceptional freshness and flavour. These meticulously prepared 250g blocks offer deep ruby-red flesh with a clean, sweet taste and the perfect firm-yet-tender texture that makes yellowfin tuna so prized among chefs and sushi enthusiasts worldwide.

These saku blocks are cut from the heart of the loin—the most prized part of the tuna—ensuring consistent quality and beautiful presentation. The controlled freezing process locks in the tuna's natural freshness and flavour while meeting the highest food safety standards. Each block delivers the ideal balance of meaty texture and delicate flavour, with the beautiful colour and clean taste that distinguishes superior-quality tuna.

Perfect for sashimi and sushi, simply defrost slowly in the refrigerator and slice against the grain with a sharp knife. For a seared preparation, pat dry thoroughly, season lightly, and quickly sear for 30 seconds per side in a screaming hot pan to create a flavourful crust while maintaining a rare centre. Rest briefly before slicing thinly to serve.

Producer: Our tuna is sourced from responsible fisheries that employ sustainable fishing methods to protect marine ecosystems and tuna populations. Each batch is carefully selected for quality and processed according to rigorous standards to ensure consistent excellence.

Storage & Transit: The tuna is flash frozen at sea to preserve its freshness and is then block cut down when frozen into 250-350g portions. It remains in a deep freeze storage at -50'C and is sent in thermal packaging to you overnight. Your tuna will arrive frozen or partially frozen and you can either place this in your freezer for use at a later date or thaw in the fridge and use within 4 days.
