Salsus Vegetable Stock
Choose options

A good vegetable stock does far more than replace a meat-based alternative — it brings its own depth and character to a dish. Salsus produces theirs by roasting vegetables to develop a rich, caramelised base, then slow-cooking them with water and spices. The liquid is strained and reduced before being packed into cartons, resulting in a clean, concentrated stock with genuine body and flavour. No additives, no preservatives, gluten-free, lactose-free, and GMO-free — paleo and keto diet-friendly. The cartons store safely in a cool, dark place for over six months.
Vegetable stock is the natural base for any plant-forward cooking. It underpins soups, risottos, pilafs, and grain dishes, and provides the braising liquid for slow-cooked vegetable stews, lentil dishes, and bean casseroles. It also works well as a lighter alternative to chicken stock in dishes where a cleaner, less meaty flavour is preferred — delicate cream soups, spring vegetable broths, and poaching liquids for fish all benefit from the subtlety of a well-made vegetable stock. As with the other Salsus stocks, this is seasoned, so avoid reducing it heavily — for applications requiring significant reduction, dilute with water or unseasoned liquid to keep the salt in check.
