The whole point of a truffle slicer is to produce shavings thin enough to release maximum aroma from minimum truffle. A knife cannot achieve this. A slicer set to its thinnest produces near-translucent shavings that open up the moment they land on a warm plate — and that is where the flavour lives.
Available in waved or straight blade. The waved blade creates textured slices with more surface area, enhancing aroma and producing the slightly curled shavings that work well over pasta and risotto. The straight blade gives clean, uniform slices and more control — preferred for precise presentation and also works well with hard cheeses. Easy to clean and dishwasher safe.
