Urbani Unico White Truffle Oil

A naturally infused white truffle oil from Urbani — made with 100% certified organic Italian extra virgin olive oil and real white truffles (Tuber magnatum Pico.). This is the white truffle counterpart to Urbani's Unico black truffle oil, and the same principle applies: no synthetic truffle aroma, no artificial compounds, no preservatives. The flavour comes entirely from natural white truffle extract and actual truffle pieces infused into cold-pressed organic olive oil.

White truffle oil has a different character from black. Where the black version is earthy and deep, the white is more pungent, garlicky, and aromatic — closer in spirit to the fresh white truffles it is made from. It is more assertive on the nose and carries a sweet, almost honeyed intensity that can transform a simple dish with just a few drops.

The same caveat applies here as with the black: the vast majority of white truffle oils on the market use bis(methylthio)methane, a synthetic compound that tastes chemically harsh and one-dimensional. The difference is immediately obvious — this oil has depth, complexity, and a clean finish rather than the lingering, artificial aftertaste that gives truffle oil a bad reputation.
